One of the first fashion shows I ever went to during Toronto Fashion Week in 2010 was full of interesting prints, textile designs and usage of text on fabric. It left me with an impression that these pieces were true works of moving art down the runway. Fast forward to two years later, Anu Raina, talented textile designer from Canada has come up with another brilliant collection that showcases her skills in layering materials in unexpected ways.
Here are a few of my favourite pics from her current FW 2012 Collection, where she describes the inspiration behind the collection by “her love for the city of Toronto”. One of the leading trends this season is all about being bold by mixing different prints, patterns and colours together, so have some fun with what you’re wearing! Enjoy!
