Moving to the City of My Dreams

They say life begins at the end of your comfort zone. For so long now, NYC has been a distant dream with its unbeatable street style, fashion creds, delicious food and more. Seeing how the city came to life during New York Fashion Week just brought it to the next level and opened my eyes to a whole new world. It’s hard to describe the emotions that are currently swirling around at the moment. There are really no words that can amount to the feelings of excitement, happiness, triumph and I’d be lying if there wasn’t a hint of fear hiding in the back corner.

I’m beyond thrilled to be sharing that in less than a month, I will be moving to the city of my dreams, New York City. When you want something bad enough, along with some persistence and HUSTLIN’ like no tomorrow, anything can happen. And of course, this would not be possible without the endless and unwavering support from my family, friends and employer.

I’m so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to transfer to the Edelman New York office, and I’m looking forward to joining the madness of the city that never sleeps. I will miss everyone and everything I know dearly back in Toronto, but am comforted by knowing that flights are only 1.5 hours away and at least, we’re all on the same time zone! I’m only ever a Facetime, Google Hangout or Skype chat away :)

I can’t wait for this adventure and new chapter of my life to begin. To my NYC friends, I can’t wait to join you! For my Toronto friends, make sure to let me know if you’re ever in town and we can definitely catch up!

See you soon, NYC :)
