Life is too short to not chase after your dreams, explore a lot and to constantly try new things. It’s that insatiable curiosity that drives me to continuously look for new opportunities from where I can learn and grow, while exploring different passions. I consider myself really lucky to be in an industry and working at an awesome company that allows me to tap into my creative skills everyday and work for some of the most amazing clients in areas that I’m interested in, which has really opened my eyes to the potential within the world of PR and Communications. For the past few years, this blog has been my pet project, where I test out and experiment different types of content, writing styles, and it acts as a quasi-journal while I navigate through my twenties. And now, I’m excited I have another channel where I can continue to express myself. After an incredible experience as the New York Correspondent blogging straight from the concrete jungle, I’m thrilled to be sharing that I’ll be joining the UrbaneBloc team as a guest contributor!
The lovely ladies behind UrbaneBloc, covering anything from fashion, culture, music, to the urban lifestyle of your modern muse.
It’s been a blast so far and can’t wait to see what the coming months will bring! I’ll be covering a range of topics including anything from fashion, lifestyle, events and who knows what else? On top of working in a fast-paced industry, I’ve always been involved with other projects on the side like running a non-profit organization fostering youth entrepreneurship, or organizing a year long program culminating into a two week educational trip to China for 30 Chinese Canadian youth. I’m so grateful for this opportunity (thanks Gloria!) and am so ready to sink my teeth into this as my side venture for 2013! Can’t wait see where it goes! For a taste of what’s to come, check out some of the stories from my NYFW experience covering shows and events from the FW2013 season.
Note: While I didn’t pen this last article, it was still a major highlight attending the MK show with Gloria and seeing the collection at the MK headquarters later that afternoon. What a BLAST!
PS. There are some rumblings of a swap and shop event to come soon (ask me and I may just spill some more beans
). Hope you’ll support my latest adventure and follow UrbaneBloc for future stories on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
